Sweet Home Alabama

The past month has been a whirlwind, but we are finally here! Down in Huntsville, AlaBAMA! We got to our new house (which neither of us has ever seen) around 10 am Huntsville time, and were pleasantly surprised at the size of our new place. It’s 3 BR, 2 1/12 bath, and a study, garage, and huge privacy fence. Coming from our sweet little 2BA 2 BR, this place seems like a mansion. We even have two stories… I know, huge!

All we have is what we crammed in to our car, with a little help from roofbag.com (thanks Mom & Dad-crucial!), and some strategic packing from a certain physicist, we made it with just enough to survive for a week or so until the movers bring our stuff. Our stuff, which still hasn’t come… It’ll be a week tomorrow, but who’s keeping track?

With no unpacking to do we decided to make a beeline for the Space and Rocket Museum and get family passes, naturally. We walked through and my distant memories of our 6th grade field trip to Space Camp came flooding back. My boys were in heaven 🙂

Our Little Pumpkin

This fall has been soaring by! Between going back to work, getting ready to move, and taking care of our sweet little man, our days have been filled with planning, house-hunting, and preparing for a big family move. Sunday was the first weekend day that Stephen and I both had off in weeks, and we decided to make the most of the beautiful fall weather.

We took Kent to a local farm to pick his first pumpkin for Halloween. He loved it! He got to see goats, pigs, and cows for the first time, and he loved playing in the hay (we had to stop him from taking a taste of course!). They even had a corn crib for little tykes, which was a huge hit with Kent man.

OBX: Babes at the Beach

In September we went to the Outer Banks with our besties, the Stepp’s and the Campbells! Pax and Kent got to hang out with their friend Brooks and all of the babies got to experience beautiful weather in Avon, NC. Kent loved the ocean until a small wave surprised him as Daddy was helping Kent dip his toes in the water.

It was a great weekend and so much fun to hang out with friends and family. Having Brooks, Pax, and Kent around added pure joy to the mix!
